Millwall 0 Scunthorpe 2, League One, Game 31, 16/2/16, att:8,036 (173)

You get games like this

Mushroom Picking?
The game:

That's the end of our unbeaten run and lets hope we can start another one

I don't really want to raise the effort to think about this game because we were way off the mark. We got beat by a bunch of spoilers who were spending so much time lying on the grass I thought they were picking mushrooms. It would be nice to see at home some creative midfield play but nothing seen like that in this game.  If we picked the ball up or was passed the ball in a midfield position it wasn't long before we lost it which doubled the work load the defence had to deal with. Just after 15 minutes Sid Nelson cleared with a whack to anywhere, it went straight to a Scunthorpe player and "bang' we were 1-0 down. If we have not got the midfield skills needed to create lets at least get in and win the second ball and if we need to win it again. Counter attacking football we play away from home is more direct and normally away we do not have to deal with five behind the ball.

Gutted but they will go again

Scunthorpe scored late to seal the win and it may have been different. Lee Gregory had a golden chance on the hour after picking up a superb ball from Jed Wallace and having beaten the keeper he put it wide. That miss hurt Gregory and we weren't happy either.

Still 6th place in the League and still a three point gap.
